In December 2021, Dave passed the torch to friend Daniel Royer Jr, a local of Woodland, PA. A local business owner of a family concession business that was started by Daniel Royer Sr. and Carolyn Royer in 1972. He started in the family business when he was 16. His family has also owned restaurants over those years as well so it was a natural transition for him into Gio’s Bbq.
“As the new owner of Gio’s Bbq I plan to continue the legacy Dave started with mouthwatering ribs and homemade sauces while trying to improve and expand the menu and sauce recipes with some of my own ideas. I also am going to try and improve the business with new operation ideas like online ordering, a rewards program, and expanding to a mobile setup as well. Thank you, Daniel Royer “
